My hammock days are numbered.
Old Man winter is reaching his tendrils into Interior Alaska.
Maybe one more week of swinging.
Or perhaps just a day.

Wow Paul! Is this a real photo in your yard? That is heavenly!
Yep, the hammock is right above the garden.
Oh my! It’s a good thing that the transition to winter is so beautiful–otherwise we’d all plumet…though I’ve heard that some people actually like winter! 🙂
Those colors our heading this way. We already have the cold weather.
Great photo! I’d love to lie in that hammock and read (under a cozy blanket, of course).
I’ve been thinking the same thing as I look out my back window at my lazy hammock. I’m using it less and less as the days cool. Soon it will be time to bring it inside. A sad day for sure. That is a BEAUTIFUL setting.
That looks like heaven–a golden moment frozen in time and beauty that can’t be denied. I hope you get a few more days in that hammock.
Oh wow. Talk about heavenly.
Beautifully inviting. leaves are just starting to change here, and the evenings coming on sooner. my hammock is a bit neglected as well. Good reminder to get back outside!!
Can I come visit?
Looks like a great place to read.
What a wonderful photo! I bet it’s much nicer in person too! Hope you get a bonus week of hammock days.
But winter is the perfect weather for reading indoors! I actually enjoy winter just as much as summer – though probably not enough to move to Alaska!
I couldn’t agree more!! In a glider-rocker by the woodstove–that’s my winter reading nook. 🙂
Gorgeous, gorgeous photo, Paul! I love autumn’s crisp edges and rich colours, but I also hate to see summer disappearing. I don’t have a hammock, but like to sit out on our deck. We covered the chairs yesterday as the first rain in several weeks descended.
Such a beautiful place to read.
I wish I could see the leaves change. I don’t get that in Florida.
Have a great weekend.
Nice picture!
That looks so idyllic! I hope you have another week!
Glorious! Just had my own hammock reunion, back down south after Southeast’s salmon season closed last week. Not comparable to your setting, but a soothing experience regardless. Wishing you well as the seasons transition!
Fantastic. So now I’m thinking Russian novelists and birches. Tolstoy, Turgenev… they must be wandering around Alaska.
